Joint Guideline and Patient Leaflet

Here is an important new publication from the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE) and the Endocrine Society (ES), their first joint guideline: ‘Diagnosis and Therapy of Glucocorticoid-induced Adrenal Insufficiency’. The Guideline was presented by co-chairs Prof. Felix Beuschlein (ESE) and Dr. Tobias Else (ES) at the recent 26th European Congress of Endocrinology in Stockholm.

Considering the widespread use of glucocorticoids, and the risk for glucocorticoid-induced adrenal insufficiency, the joint guideline provides essential guidance to aid any clinician involved in the care of patients on chronic glucocorticoid therapy.
